Library continues its 2023 Sesquicentennial Author Series with Silvia Moreno-Garcia on Sept. 24

COLUMBUS—Columbus Metropolitan Library’s (CML) Sesquicentennial Author Series continues Sept. 24 with Silvia Moreno-Garcia, author of The Daughter of Doctor Moreau.

Sunday, Sept. 24 | 2 p.m.
Main Library | 96 S. Grant Ave. (Reading Room – Second Floor)

The event is free, but registration is required. Seating begins at 1:30 p.m. Parking in Main Library’s attached garage will be free.

To mark its 150th birthday in 2023, CML has temporarily renamed its Carnegie Author Series the Sesquicentennial Author Series. The lineup features engaging national authors for programs that are free and open to all.

The Sesquicentennial Author Series is sponsored by NBC4.

Columbus Metropolitan Library has served the people of Franklin County, Ohio since 1873. With its Main Library and 22 branches, CML is well known for signature services and programs like School Help, Reading Buddies, Summer Reading Challenge and Ready for Kindergarten. The library’s Strategic Plan supports the vision of “a thriving community where wisdom prevails,” which positions CML to respond to areas of urgent need: kids unprepared for kindergarten, third grade reading proficiency, high school graduation, college and career readiness and employment resources.
