Reinvesting in Our Communities
We completed Phase I of our aspirational building program to bring 21st century libraries to 10 communities. Check out this booklet we created to celebrate the journey.
Now we’ve embarked upon Phase II: Our new Karl Road, Hilltop and Gahanna branches are open and our new Reynoldsburg Branch is under construction. Plus, planning is underway for new or renovated Linden, Barnett, Canal Winchester and Marion-Franklin branches.
We’ve also transformed our outdoor gathering space at Main Library into Kaufman Plaza – a fun and engaging place for all ages to enjoy.
Gahanna Branch
We’ve cut the ribbon on your new Gahanna Branch!
Our newest branch offers:
- 36,400 square feet
- A reimagined Children’s area
- Larger School Help Center for K-12 students to help students succeed
- Large Teen Center with YouMedia for teens to connect and create with technology
- Computers to reserve and copiers with fax capabilities
- Shelves of books and materials for people of all ages
- Three large and accommodating meeting rooms and nine study rooms
- Welcoming reading and study spaces
- Quiet study room with extraordinary views for silent work, study and contemplation
