Marion-Franklin Branch
We cut the ribbon on your new Marion-Franklin Branch!
The new branch has:
- 10,000 sq. ft. of space (increased from 4,000 sq. ft.)
- Two meeting rooms, a conference room, and three study rooms for community use
- A larger Children’s area with more space for programs and areas for children to read, play, and use computers
- Dedicated space for teens with books, computers, and study spaces
- A Learning Center where students can get free after-school help
- Public computers and a business center for community use
- Commissioned works of public art
- Seating areas to read and relax
- A collection of library materials to meet the community’s needs
Join us! We’re opening your new library on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. But first, we need to close the current branch so we can move into the new one.
The current branch will close at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3.

In the meantime, our temporary location at 3227 E. Livingston Ave. will permanently close at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 so we can begin moving into our new library. Visit nearby locations until the new branch opens.
