Reinvesting in Our Communities
We completed Phase I of our aspirational building program to bring 21st century libraries to 10 communities. Check out this booklet we created to celebrate the journey.
Now we’ve embarked upon Phase II: Our new Karl Road, Hilltop, Gahanna and Reynoldsburg branches are open and our Linden Branch is under construction to more than double its size. Plus, planning is underway for new or renovated Barnett, Canal Winchester and Marion-Franklin branches.
We’ve also transformed our outdoor gathering space at Main Library into Kaufman Plaza – a fun and engaging place for all ages to enjoy.
Gahanna Branch
We’ve cut the ribbon on your new Gahanna Branch!
The Gahanna branch offers:
- 36,400 square feet
- A reimagined Children’s area
- Larger School Help Center for K-12 students to help students succeed
- Large Teen Center with YouMedia for teens to connect and create with technology
- Computers to reserve and copiers with fax capabilities
- Shelves of books and materials for people of all ages
- Three large and accommodating meeting rooms and nine study rooms
- Welcoming reading and study spaces
- Quiet study room with extraordinary views for silent work, study and contemplation

Reynoldsburg Branch
We’ve cut the ribbon on your new Reynoldsburg Branch!
Our newest branch offers:
- 39,200 square feet.
- Interactive Children’s area.
- Ready for Kindergarten area.
- A Teen Lounge.
- School Help Center where students can get free after-school help.
- Three large meeting rooms and 15 study rooms.
- Job Help resources.
- Spacious Quiet Room.
- Public computers.
- Seating areas to read and relax.
- A robust collection of library materials to meet the community’s needs.

We’re kicking off construction of your new Barnett Branch! Here’s what you need to know:
Saturday, May 4: The branch closes at 6 p.m.
Monday, May 13: Our temporary location at 3227 E. Livingston Ave. opens at 9 a.m.
Wednesday, May 22: We’ll hold a ceremonial “wallbreaking” at 3 p.m. at 3434 E. Livingston Ave. to kick off construction of your new branch.
