Since 2014, we’ve opened 17 new libraries to better serve our customers. We also continue to invest in our buildings with updates and new features to meet customer and community needs. Check out this booklet to see the work we do.

Marion-Franklin Branch

We cut the ribbon on your new Marion-Franklin Branch!

The new branch has:

  • 10,000 sq. ft. of space (increased from 4,000 sq. ft.)
  • Two meeting rooms, a conference room, and three study rooms for community use
  • A larger Children’s area with more space for programs and areas for children to read, play, and use computers
  • Dedicated space for teens with books, computers, and study spaces
  • A Learning Center where students can get free after-school help
  • Public computers and a business center for community use
  • Commissioned works of public art
  • Seating areas to read and relax
  • A collection of library materials to meet the community’s needs

Barnett Branch

We cut the ribbon on your new Barnett Branch!

The new branch has:

  • 22,000 sq. ft. of space (increased from 12,300 square feet)
  • Three meeting rooms and four study rooms for community use
  • A larger Children’s area with more space for programs and areas for children to read, play, and use computers
  • Dedicated space for teens with books and computers
  • A game room and recording studio
  • A Learning Center where students can get free after-school help
  • Public computers and a business center for community use
  • Commissioned works of public art
  • Seating areas to read and relax
  • A collection of library materials to meet the community’s needs

The new branch has:

  • 30,000 square feet of space (increased from 5,400 square feet)
  • Three meeting rooms and nine study rooms for community use
  • A larger interactive Children’s area
  • Dedicated spaces for tweens and teens
  • A Learning Center, a dynamic space for programs
  • Public computers and Business Center for community use
  • Commissioned works of public art
  • Seating areas to read and relax, including a Quiet Room
  • A collection of library materials to meet the community’s needs

Linden Branch

Following a weather delay, we’re excited to announce a rescheduled date for the grand opening! We’ll open your new Linden Branch on Friday, Feb. 6 following a brief 10 a.m. ribbon cutting.

We hope you’ll join us for an indoor dedication ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Plus, we’ll have fun activities for the whole family at our Open House Celebration, starting after we cut the ribbon on Friday and continuing on Saturday.
