COLUMBUS—Columbus Metropolitan Library is partnering with national bestselling author Wil Haygood, Mayor Michael Coleman and Columbus City Schools to announce a community-wide reading initiative to encourage central Ohioans to read the same book at the same time – during the six week program from Sept. 28 to Nov. 12.

COLUMBUS—As thousands of central Ohio children and teens return to school this month, Columbus Metropolitan Library’s (CML) Homework Help Centers reopen at all 21 branch locations. Starting Monday, Aug. 17, K-12 students will once again have a free place to get help with their homework from friendly staff and volunteers.

COLUMBUS—Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) employees have raised $6,104.23 for the Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation. The money will be used to purchase books that will be given to participants of the library’s Reading Buddies program. These books will be specially earmarked for distribution at branches serving the Columbus City Schools district.
