COLUMBUS—Columbus Metropolitan Library’s (CML) Board of Trustees today unanimously approved the selection of MSR Design as the architect for the new Case Road Branch that will be constructed on the city’s northwest side. When completed, the new branch will become CML’s 24th library location serving Franklin County.
The new library branch will be built within a planned City of Columbus park located across from The Ohio State University’s airport on Case Road. The City of Columbus purchased this parcel of land – informally known as the “sheep farm” – from the university in 2019.
“We are so excited to partner with the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department on this project,” said CML CEO Lauren Hagan. “We know that northwest residents have been eager for a community library, and we’re delighted by the opportunity to fulfill that desire in an area that has not previously had close access.”
Construction of the new branch is expected to begin next year. MSR Design, a women-owned architecture firm, enriches lives by designing a better future.
