LIBRARY SERVICES UPDATE

Due to the City of Columbus and Franklin County joint health advisory, we’ll be OPEN FOR CURBSIDE PICKUP & WALK-UP SERVICES ONLY starting Saturday, Nov. 21.

There will be no entry into our buildings for services.

Our Marion-Franklin Branch will be closed for all services.

We continue to follow the guidelines provided by public health officials. We hope to reopen when it’s safer for our customers and staff.   

In the meantime, please continue to take advantage of reserving items online and picking them up with our contact-free options. You can still return your items at our 24/7 exterior Returns at all locations except our Marion-Franklin Branch.

Note: If you or your family members are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or recently tested positive for COVID-19, please do not return your items. Please email for assistance if you receive overdue notices.

HOW TO USE CURBSIDE PICKUP:

1. Choose your pickup location when you reserve your item online.

2. Once you’ve been notified that your item is ready to pick up:

  • Visit during open hours.
  • Look for the Curbside Pickup signs posted in the parking lot.
  • Have your library card number ready.
  • Call the phone number on the sign.
  • Deaf or hard of hearing, text using the number provided.
  • Staff answering the phone will check out your items and bring them to your vehicle.
  • Grab & Go books are available plus staff will also help you pick out a book – just ask when you call.

Due to the end of Daylight Savings Time:

  • Delivery to vehicles for Curbside Pickup will end at 5:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
  • Arriving after 5:30 p.m.? Call the Curbside Pickup number and staff will check out your items and leave them on a table or cart at the building entrance for walk-up, contact-free pickup. Face coverings are required for walk-up pickup.

Drive-Up Pickup is available at our New Albany, Northern Lights, Parsons, Shepard and Whitehall locations.

Main Library provides Curbside Pickup in the parking garage. Walk-Up Service is available at the entrance off Library Park North, facing Grant Ave. Face coverings are required for walk-up service.
