Mrs. Queen Takes the Train
William M. Kuhn
December 28, 2012

If you are looking for something to read that will take your mind off of the gloomy weather and doomsday news reports, try Mrs. Queen Takes the Train.  If you are an Anglophile you will especially enjoy this read.  Something else I found out after I read this book and thoroughly enjoyed it - Kuhn is a native of Columbus and attended Whetstone H.S.  Pretty cool!

Killing Floor
Lee Child

I'll admit that I am late to the party on this one. I had never read a Jack Reacher novel so picked up the first one to see what it is all about.  I was intrigued by the movie and the casting of Tom Cruise.  There has been much discussion that he is not how people envision Jack Reacher.  I really liked this book and will keep on with the series.  I'll probably even see the movie just to see how Tom does playing Jack Reacher.

The Women
T.C. Boyle
December 4, 2012

I'm a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright's work so was pretty keen to read T.C. Boyle's novel, The Women.  Boyle provides a view into Wright's life through the eyes of the four women he loved.  To say he was eccentric is an understatement but via this well written historical novel, one gets a clearer sense of what drove this creative architect.
