Heck of a thriller - first novel set in South Africa. If you don't like a lot of violence - this one isn't for you but man, gives you a look at a world most of us will never see.
I was practically born with a book in my hands. An avid reader my entire life, I read about 70-80 books a year. Yep, bona fide book nerd! I mainly read fiction, mysteries, fantasy, and some sci-fi. My favorite book of all time is Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh - read it as a kid and probably 100 times since then. I walked into a library around age 5 and thought I had found heaven, which explains why I am happy as a clam being a public librarian today! My favorite conversation starter: "Read any good books lately?"

Teen fiction is exploding with great stuff to read right now. I've posted several lately that I've enjoyed and just finished another one. In Lyga's book, we meet Jazz who is the son of a notorious serial killer. Bodies start popping up and Jazz tries to solve the crime to prove he isn't his father's son or is he?
If you are a fan of Robert Parker's Spenser novels, give this one a try. Parker passed away in 2010 but Ace Atkins has done an admirable job of bringing Spenser, Hawk and Susan to life in this new entry in the series.
What a great book! Talk about girl power and snark galore. I listened to this and Libba Bray is a great narrator. Definitely going on my favorite reads list for the year.
Great book. Insider look at Las Vegas and being a homeless kid.
