    • Join us Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. to celebrate the Columbus African-American Collection! Columbus has a rich and diverse local history and we're preserving it for future generations. Newspapers, photos, manuscripts, maps and more are digitized to archive the history of African Americans in Columbus. Join us on Feb. 27 for refreshments, tours and speakers discussing the Columbus African-American Collection. The program will include a keynote from Former Mayor Michael B. Coleman, and remarks from Dr. Hasan Jeffries of the collection's Advisory Committee and Patricia Williamsen, executive director of our grant partner, Ohio Humanities. We'll also highlight unique and significant items in the collection that represent central Ohio's history and share a selection of photos from the Mayor Coleman Collection. Bring your materials to be scanned into the collection while you take a tour of Main Library's Local History and Genealogy division.
