Martin Luther King Branch The branch hosts a number of children’s storytimes each week as well as other programs throughout the year. In the past such programs have included jazz concerts and special programs for teens.

The branch is home to one of the library’s popular Homework Help Centers, open Monday-Thursday from 3-6 p.m. during the school year. These Centers provide children with a quiet place to do homework, complete with supportive adults to assist them when they need help.

About the Building
The Eastside Branch opened at 1479 East Long Street in 1953. The branch was moved to the present location and renamed in 1969 and remodeled in 1996.
