Biography: "I am a painter and printmaker. My work here involves political protest or would be classified as Advocacy Art (images 6 through 10). The first five images are reflective of what happens between bodies of work that are stark and distrubing. The Apple Series looks to go on for a long while as it leads to metaphor in so many ways, both positive and negative. I am having fun with it. I usually work on linen, stretched or unstretched, and treated so that I can build in layers of acrylic, oil and pastel. The work is archival. My ethnic heritage is white/hispanic/Latina. That does not qualify for multi-racial, but it does qualify for multi-cultural."
