We hope to see you there! This event is free and open to all. In the meantime, Parsons Branch architect Moody∙Nolan has shared some concepts of what the new branch will look like when completed. We plan to open in 2016. Check back for updates.

The expansive floor plan will feature plenty of natural light and more than double the size of the current branch.

We've purchased the land where your new branch will be built – along Parsons Ave. between Stewart and Deshler avenues. We expect to break ground on the project in spring 2015.

Built in 1956, the Parsons Branch is outdated and the community has outgrown it. It's part of our building program to renovate or rebuild 10 library locations.

The expanded Parsons Branch will have:

  • More than 19,000 square feet of space (it currently has 7,599)
  • 64 parking spaces (it currently has 20)
  • A larger Homework Help Center
