The Early Interval's Twelfth Night Celebration

The Early Interval is returning to Britain for its annual celebration of Twelfth Night. The program will be presented in the neo-gothic splendor of First Congregational Church in downtown Columbus. A British Twelfth Night Celebration will feature music from the 12th through 17th centuries from Great Britain. Among the selections will be medieval carols; the music of William Byrd; music for a consort of viols by John Dowland and other composers; music from courtly masques; music for two recorders and continuo; and lively English country dances. The Early Interval will perform vocally and on recorders, bass, dulcian, crumhorns, medieval and Renaissance harps, violas da gamba, medieval lute, theorbo, Renaissance and Baroque guitars, rebec, vielle, violin and pipe and tabor. The members of The Early Interval are Ron Cook, director, Jim Bates, Janice Cook, Sean Ferguson, Lyz Liddell and Tamara Seckel. The Early Interval will be joined for this concert by bass viol player Matthew Utt.

The Columbus Bride Show, the largest Bride Show in Columbus, will feature more than 220 booths filled with event experts providing direction and advice for everything wedding-related. Attendees may sample wedding cakes and hors d'oeuvres, inspect invitations, compare photographers' work, and consult with wedding professionals. Giuliana and Bill Rancic are scheduled to appear at the show on Sunday at 2 p.m. to share the secrets of their love and a successful marriage.
